Bentley Continental GT3
The new Bentley Continental GT3, the racing version of the tour of England, eventually will make its official debut at the world premiere, in a few days, at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 11 to 14).
Face with the look of a concept car at 2012 Paris Motor Show, the production model (for the race) promise to fully disclose the DNA of every Continental GT.
Of the House has not released many details about the new Bentley Continental GT3, only been confirmed wishbone suspension, racing brakes and adjustable dampers. We can, then, assume the presence of roll bars and carbon fiber sports seats.
To encourage the Bentley Continental GT3 - track evolution of the GT Speed - there will be a 4.0-liter V8 mated to a six-speed sequential racing that transmits torque to the rear wheels. The weight should slightly exceed 1,000 kg.
This version of "racing" of the GT Speed will take part this year in the GT3 Championship. Also present is the GT Speed coupe and convertible. But at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in addition to racing this car designed for the track, Bentley will also bring the latest addition to the range: the Bentley GT Speed Coupe and Convertible GT Speed.
Both versions take part in the famous "climb" Goodwood hill, with the steering wheel, respectively, Juha Kankkunen (four-times World Rally Champion) and Derek Bell (5 times Le Mans winner).
However, at Goodwood will present "Speed 8", a pair of British pilots - Guy Smith and David Brabham - who will join Bentley this year to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the victory in the Le Mans 2003.
