New Peugeot RCZ R

This is the most evil of the RCZ, identified for R that follows his name and will be unveiled this week at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Meanwhile, Peugeot has released official photographs that reflect the final version of the RCZ R, radical version of the coupe Leo, clearly inspired by the previous concept car.

Aesthetically, the Peugeot RCZ R stands for lowered ride height by 10 mm, the writing of a red Peugeot, large 19-inch wheels that fit with sport tires 235/40 and red brake calipers hiding, for body kit consisting of a clear aerodynamic (with rear spoiler and fixed diffuser) for the air holes and light smoke.

Racing look, in short, which leaves no doubt about the bad intentions on the range. Livery will be selected in a variety of colors: Red Morocco, Black Black, Mercury Grey and White Opal, with mirror in black contrast and, perhaps, with a sticker applied to the entire hull sports.

In the interior of the Peugeot RCZ R then compete with naturally high-containment seats, leaking smaller and shorter gear lever. Layers are Nappa leather and Alcantara while touches include R logo and elements in aluminum.
Engine, 4-cylinder 1.6 THP conventional

And then came the piece de resistance, the mechanical department. The Peugeot RCZ R features a four-cylinder 1.6 THP in this case pushed to 270 hp (at 6,000 rpm) and maximum torque of 330 Nm between 1,900 rpm and 5.5000.

Changes to the standard version of the 1.6 THP concerns touching blocks, intervention into the turbine, piston and connecting rod and, of course to install a brand new exhaust system.

Performance and Economy

And finally, performance and economy. For R RCZ, Peugeot declare an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds covered. 400 mt from the company is able to cover them in 14.2 seconds, while the kilometer in 25.4 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km / h.

To compensate for the increase in power, then, RCZ R is equipped with a brake system, which allows to stop from 130 km / h in just 61 meters.

And to end the Peugeot RCZ R covers 100 km to 6.3 liters of fuel and emits 145g/km CO2. After the performance at Goodwood Festival 2013, will see it again in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013.
